I loved this movie. But then, I love rats. I have pet rats and I work with rats [Yes, people, you know who you are], so this movie had the perfect theme for me. For an animated, family film, it surprisinly delivered entertainment for a wider-range of age groups that one would expect. Nothing about the story or characters were too over-the-top and all had a great balance. There really was no time for boredom, yet there were just enough moments to catch one's breath for the next laugh. Overall, I suggest anyone who likes rats, or would like to come to like rats, to check out this film. I especially liked the moment when the Food Critic ate the Ratatouille; his entire emotions were totally unexpected in this type of movie. I LOVED IT!

This movie really exceeded my expectations in all ways. To begin with, the animation was terrific and now I wish I had spent the money to actually see it on the big screen in the theatre, but it was still great on the big screen at home. Disney and Pixar Animation Studios are leading the way in animation films and combining their talents with the creativity of Director, Brad Bird, was a winning combination.
Ratatouille is a wonderful family movie. When I watched it I was in need of a good laugh or two and it definitely delivered. As you can imagine, the rat (Remy) controlling the body movements of the human, Linguini, was a recipe for disaster, especially in a 5-star kitchen. But Remy the rat had a passion for cooking, and Linquini wanted to fulfill his mother's wish, and together as a team they cooked up a storm and suffered through many challenges including the Health Inspector, a very scary food critic, a crazy head chef, and Remy's enormous rat family with voracious appetites for food.
Admittedly, I love a happy ending, and Ratatouille has a great one. This movie is wonderful to watch and is highly recommended for all ages.
